TSC hosts a monthly Queer Book Club! Books are chosen by group consensus and announced the first week of the month. We are committed to reading intersectional literature that centers and explores LGBTQ+ characters written by LGBTQ+ authors. Book Club discussion group occurs on the last Sunday of the month at 3 p.m.
Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome.
This month's book is When We Rise by Cleve Jones, a memoir chronicling the author's life as a gay man and LGBTQIA+ activist. From life in San Francisco in the 1970s to his entry into "the movement" to weathering the AIDS crisis & conceptualizing the AIDS memorial quilt all the way to marriage equality, this autobiography is a vibrant and passionate account of a beloved community member whose activism continues today.
